CRAFT FOCUS

Inspired by the Mughal gardens of Kashmir concept of the Chaarbagh, this saree brings together four archival block prints, each inspired by one of Kashmir’s iconic Mughal garden —Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chashme Shahi, and Pari Mahal. The archival prints have been handcrafted by 4th generation master artisans from the Chippa community in Rajasthan. The base fabric is a soft champagne silk tissue. The blouse features JADE by MK’s signature flat Kasab embroidery—a technique inspired by the opulence of Mughal craftsmanship and reinvented at the atelier.
